I personally find there are two ways to bring the equality. 1. Allow drinking for both men and women. 2.  Restrict drinking disregarding the sex. I find the second one more effective as it accomplishes two targets. Equality and an effective nation.

And these can only be done by love, not by prosecuting another gender or scolding them in the witness box. Why are the female empowerment advertisements always compared with the boys? Why do they always make boys their reference frame to explain their words? It's not about male or female, it's about our neutral society. If you want to bring the equality, emphasize on girl education, focus on female embryo murder. Bringing equality on the rights of drinking won't solve our problem. There are plenty of boys too who can't study and work in tiny and dirty tea and Kachori stalls around Kolkata.
